《教父III》剧情简介

　　The third Godfather story opens in 1979 New York, some twenty years after Michael Corleone gave the order to have his older brother killed. Michael's children, Mary and Anthony are now grown. Mary is devoted to her father; Anthony is more wary. He loves Michael, but wants nothing to do with his father's business. Even though all illegal investments have been divested, the Corleone family struggles to remain legitimate.

　　The next Don Corleone - Vincent Mancini, Sonny Corleone's boy - is awaiting his opportunity to take over the family business. He possesses a ruthlessness and taste for violence that Michael has long since lost. Michael recognizes the need for youth and strength. He passed the baton to Vincent, but with it carries a tragic price.

　　As always, Pacino is a delight to watch. The third time around, he brings a mournful weariness to his character Michael. This is a man who has paid for all the wrong choices. Memories haunt him like ghosts. Family, as it always has been the case, is crucial to Michael. His children are his reason for living. Andy Garcia also shines and brings new vitality to the trilogy.

　　Director Francis Ford Coppola and novelist Mario Puzo Co-wrote the screenplay for the Godfather part III. The Godfather part I and II fill in many gaps left by this one, and it would be very difficult to understand this movie without seeing the first two. Overall, the film represents a solid conclusion to the Godfather Epic.

　　教父III所讲述的故事发生在1979年的纽约, 那时距离Michael Corleone杀死他的哥哥已有大约二十年的时间了。 Michael的两个孩子 Mary 和 Anthony 已经长大。Mary与父亲的感情很好, 但Anthony却有点叛逆。他是爱他的父亲的, 但并不想参与父亲的生意。在生意上，虽然不正当的投资已被撤消, 但Corleone家族仍然在为保持正常的经营而挣扎着。
